During the first weekend of September NOVAROSSI WORLD S.r.l. and Mini Car Fiorano organized a Trofeo NOVAROSSI on the very fast track of Fiorano, Italy.

The Trofeo NOVAROSSI races are well known to attract a lot of drivers, also this time, including the 8th times world Champion Lamberto Collari, former European Champion 1:10 Dario Balestri and many others to make the total number of drivers to a 120, divided over 1:10 and 1:8.
Some top drivers where present on sunday, to support fellow drivers... one of them is the newly crowned European Champion 1:8 Jernej Vuga.
Another fast NOVAROSSI driver who helped other drivers was Andrea Pirani.

Altrough the weather forecast's where not so good for the weekend, it stayed dry for those 2 day's of high class racing... All the dark clouds rolled over the Fiorano track without losing one drop of water.
But these clouds gave some really changing air and track tempratures, the air temprature could rise a 5 degrees when the sun came out, similair for the track temprature and affecting traction.

After 4 rounds of qualifing the first 10 in the 1:8 are:
1: Eric Dankel - NOVAROSSI 359
2: Marco Vanni - NOVAROSSI 359
3: Mattia Rinaldi - NOVAROSSI 359
4: Dario Balestri - NOVAROSSI 359

5: Maurizio Berardi
6: Roberto Tacconi
7: Corrado Lotti
8: Stefano Pregnolato
9: Sandro Sammarini
10: Lamberto Collari - NOVAROSSI 359

The 1:10 top 10 qualifiers are:
1: Manuel Huber
2: Andrea Zucchi
3: Alessandro Bracci
4: Alberto Severino
5: Luca Colombo
6: Mattia Collavo
7: Michele Scaglioni
8: Gabriele Alpi
9: Walter Ossola
10: Daniele Finessi

Due to tradition all the Trofeo NOVAROSSI using A-B-C formatted finals, so that means that the first 10 qualfied drivers are in the A final.

Shortly after the lower finals where finished it became time for the fastest final of them all, the 1:8 A final.
Where other finals went very clean underway it was again the 1:8 A who provided a great spectacle!

Poleman Eric Dankel: got a bit unfortunate 3 corners after the start, as he became the biggest victim of the traffic.
Just after 3 corners he had unwillingly changed his 1st place for a 10th... But this dissapointment did not let him down, not at all.
at the remaining 30 minutes of this A final he fought his way back to the very second place when the finishflag felt.

Marco Vanni: who qualified second quickly took over the lead from Eric Dankel, and he never gave it away, leading the race pretty much from start to end. But he could not take it easy as everybody was very eager to take over his first place. 30 minutes of maximum attack for Vanni, even in the pitlane... flat out trough the pit lane of the Fiorano track which helped him win this Trofeo NOVAROSSI.

Dario Balestri: well he set the fastest time of the event.
But he got very unlucky with his rear tires because the center of the rim was completly worn out, and thus not driving his rear tires anymore. This caused him to drop back in the ranking, outside the reach of the podium.
After he changed his tires he tried very hard to make up the lost time, as a result he set the fastest time of the event.

Lamberto Collari: NOVAROSSI's multiple World Champion, suffered from chassis problems, a few minutes after the start of the A final of this Trofeo NOVAROSSI his car got airborne and had a hard landing, forcing him to the pitlane for a lenghty repair.

After 30 minutes of intense racing the finishing order was as following:

1: Marco Vanni
2: Eric Dankel [TQ]

3: Corrado Lotti
4: Stefano Pregnolato
5: Sandro Sammarini
6: Mattia Rinaldi
7: Roberto Tacconi
8: Dario Balestri
9: Lamberto Collari

10: Maurizio Berardi

And the 1:10 A final standings:
1: Andrea Zucchi
2: Alberto Severino
3: Gabriele Alpi
4: Mattia Collavo
5: Daniele Finessi
6: Luca Colombo
7: Manuel Huber
8: Alessandro Bracci
9: Michele Scaglioni
10: Walter Ossola
