During the Easter weekend
saw the warmup race for the 1/10th 200mm World Championships
take place at the Monsanto track in Lisbon, Portugal, host of
the World Championship event in August.
After qualifying it was 2 time European Champion Dario Balestri
on the pole position for the main final ahead of Robert Pietsch
in 2nd with Giuseppe D’angelo in third and Alessio Mazzeo
closing the top 4.
During the 60minute final there was a big placeshuffle with
all drivers, but in the end Dario finished about a half a second
behind the winner, and Robert Pietsch chasing Dario hard but
finished 3 seconds behind (including a tire change for Robert
Pietsch).
The Top 3 all finished with 182 laps after 60minutes racing
and even in 4 seconds from first place to 3rd.
During this event we went trough the paddock and counted the
number of NOVAROSSI based engines (NOVA-Max Power-JP-Mega MF)
and others.
After we putted the numbers into a graph and that showed that
49% of the 53 drivers that where present during this Pre Worlds
meeting had a NOVAROSSI made engine to power their car.
